The Past and The Future of HR: Trends & Predictions of the Industry Moving Forward

A decade ago, a study by the University of Oxford found that nearly half of all jobs in the US could be computerized in just a few decades. (Study here)

The future workforce is going to look very different than it does today, and already is very different than it was just five years ago.

The recent trend has been that employers are looking for people who can work with technology and adapt to new skill sets. They want employees who can learn and adapt quickly, so they will need to stay on top of trends to stay employed.

For those reasons I truly believe one of the positive functions for AI in the very near future is to maximize potential and reduce time spent in the hiring process.

AI Recruitment Tools For Businesses

AI can change the recruiting landscape for HR professionals by providing them with a tool that can save time and reduce bias, making it easier to find the best professionals and level the playing field for all candidates.

AI-enabled candidate matching is a new way of hiring. It helps to automate the process and save time and money for both the employer and the candidate.

Companies will use AI to find the best match for their needs. It can be used by any company, from small startups to large corporations, as it works with all levels of employees from entry-level employees, to interns, executives, and managers.

The AI-enabled Candidate matching system first screens potential candidates based on their qualifications and experience before presenting them to employers on its website or mobile app. Employers then have the opportunity to interact with these candidates through Chatbots!

This will be especially good for companies who do business online and already deal with 100% remote workers.

Candidate Engagement Through Chatbots

Chatbots are increasingly being used by recruiters to engage with candidates and get them to respond to messages.

Chatbots for recruitment are more effective than a human recruiter in several ways.

The bots are designed to have multiple conversations with candidates at the same time, which they can do more quickly than humans.
These advanced chatbots are even programmed to understand and speak slang and industry jargon to make the interviews more natural.

Once the applicants have all been screened and interviewed, you will usually only have a shortlist of the most promising candidates to choose from. This gives them more time to interview these individuals to get a better sense of who they are and what they can bring to the company.

AI is part of our future!
We only need to make sure we use it for the bettering of mankind.
